Damsels in Progress Run for Fun inspired by Kathrine Switzer

The Damsels in Progress had their first fun run early this October. They decided during their meeting back in March that they would love to run around a local park loop (5K) to raise awareness of Kathrine Switzer’s historic Boston Marathon run.

They each personalized their own 261 bibs and carried fliers to give to fellow runners along the way. It was a beautiful fall day and they had a great time. There are not may photos of the actual run since they lost their parent photographer very early in the run. Fortunately, there was no reason that anyone would try to take their bibs away and thanks to Kathrine Switzer these girls may someday run a marathon.
